Exploring the Benefits of Color Therapy: Enhance Your Wellbeing

We love color! Have you heard about the transformative power of color therapy and a unique holistic approach to wellbeing? Also known as chromotherapy, color therapy utilizes the spectrum of light and color to positively impact mood and health. Each color in the spectrum resonates with specific frequencies and vibrations, believed to influence our body's energies and frequencies.

While many institutions teach color combinations and theory, some also promote using specific colors for health and mental wellness. The concept of using color as a healing method dates to ancient cultures, including the Egyptians and Greeks. They utilized colors in their temples as a form of therapy. Even ancient Indian medicine, Ayurveda, speaks of balancing body energies called "doshas" using specific colors. Chromotherapy often intersects with the concept of chakras in Eastern spiritual practices using the energy system to aid in balancing the body's energy levels. 

Chromotherapy treatments can be customized according to an individual needs. Color is often seen as a reflection of the collective mindset and mood, offering insights into societal moods, attitudes, and cultures. We see trends and patterns in fashion, art, graphic design, styling, paint, accents, accessories, and interior design. I always ask clients, “How does this color make you feel?” and most times, this is the correct way to proceed, but what about our subconscious mind and how it processes color?
